The Heirs

After reading the news about Lee Min Ho, I started watching the drama series The Heirs.  Now, I have finished it.

Unlike other drama series, I can’t quote any favourite lines.  Actually, after watching the first ten episodes, I wanted to finish it off so that I could know the ending.  Maybe the life and the ‘traditions’ are too unfamiliar and it’s not easy for me to imagine how difficult the situations the characters are experiencing.

Luckily, the themes like the love between parents and children, the trust between people, the help in the face of plight, the loneliness one may experience and the choice one needs to make are universal and touch people’s hearts.  I think it is these bits that keep me watching the drama till the last episode.

My favourite scene?  The feedback from Kim Tan’s professor.
Kim Tan wrote,
The One Trying to Wear the Crown, Withstands the Weight’.
It is inspiring, right?

It follows by a more evoking reflective question from his professor,
‘What was the crown you were trying to wear?  Was it wealth? Fame? Or Love?’

These days, I am working on life planning and this line seems to be giving me some parts of the answers.

Life is interesting because there are full of possibilities. Each choice we make may change our life but no one can decide whether a choice is right or wrong and no one can make the decision for you.  The choice is right if you know what you are doing and you won’t regret.
